A total of 20L+ apps are currently published in the playstore.

As per IAMAI-ICRIER report release quote from Mr. Ray “At present there are between 50 – 70 thousand professional mobile app developers in India. This number is absolutely insufficient. By 2020, we will have over billion phones connected on internet and we will need 2 million app developers at that time” which means a drastic increase in demand of android developers in the market.

According to glassdoor, salary of an beginner level android developer ranges from 2 – 8 l.p.a with average salary of 3.6 l.p.a in India. Market research suggests that product companies/startups offer salary packages as high as 20 l.p.a for developers with 1-5 years of experience.
